| Waves crept slowly upon the shore, grazing it tenderly while cowering back into the sea. Lost pools of yellow leered into the docile sunset, watching the water languidly move towards his feet. Two dainty fingers picked up a black rock chunking it into the sea. The anger inside of him boiling into his inner core that burned his throax. Picking up another, he threw it again with more force. A loud splash emanated into his unseen ears. Shutting his eyes he made another small cry before sitting down slowly. Limp fingers digging into his skull that resounded with echoing of voices. Evil voices. Voices that crowded his mind sence that day. The day he lost his everything, the day he lost himself.
Pulling his head up from his hands, he glanced up at the sea which bellowed softly. Beckoning him to go towards it but the yellow and black butterfly refused. Even the water could not persuade him in his time of grief. Sighing heavily, he placed both of his hands down towards his sides while creating a small circle in the sand. He didn't know where he had landed, it had been raining the night before. The amount of water splashing on his wings had caused him to crash land on what seemed like a 'cross' like island. Or that he knew of...His vision had been impaired slightly by the impact of the rain.
Lifting a finger up from the sand, he glanced behind him nonchalantly almost hoping someone would be there...If he would be there...But it wasn't, it was probably just the sea playing tricks. So tired he was, now it seemed as if sleep meant nothing. He hated sounding so depressed but when he lost him...That piece of his heart had leapt into the ocean along the waves. Carrying it out to another shore. Placing his head in between his hands he slowly sighed hoping that he would finally fall asleep.
(Ooc: Sorry I know we are not supposed to do this but anyone can hope in ^^ and I wasn't sure if this thread is open so I thought I would try it ^-^.)

| A pair of violet eyes gazed out over the waves from behind the pale skull of a bird, and out from under a dark, deep hood. Twin swords on his back and the long, tattered sleeves of his robe covered his hands, brushind the surface of the rock he crouched on. Long gray green legs bent , blanace, slience. That was until a set of unnatural splashes reached his ears, pulling himfrom the sort of trance, the ebb and flow of the waves had put him in.
He was no longer alone...
Sparrow turned, gaze sweeping the shore for the source of the sound, and then the faint mewling drew his sight to another being on this lonely little place. Tilting his head to the side, there was a momentary thought of /leave it alone/ but Sparrow ignored that small part and stepped down from his rock. Hoove like feet leaving small impressions in the sand as he approched, winding around to the front of the other male so as not to catch him off gaurd by appearing from a blind spot.
"What's wrong?"
His voice was low, a faintly deep sound, hardly above the whisper, and his question was blunt, but he lacked the tact and grace of more social beings. He swiftly held his palms out, bandaged fingers open, showing he was not armed, aside from the sheethed swords at his back. Slowly, his movements cautious he crouched down infront of the winged male. Bird skull face tilting to the side again.

| It seemed as if sleep had escaped him once again for the last time. For a deepvoice had startled the Rhoparan for a second. Black eyes widening in between his lean glistening fingers, he rolled his neck up slowly to glance at a very strange character. Gasping he moved back some, trying assess what was happening. Heru is not one for strangers, especially ones dressed up in cloaks with their hands bandaged. His chest begun to rise quickly as he stood up before falling upon his face. Another thing about Heru; not one for grace either.
"Wh-What do you want?!" turning around upon the sand, he had not listened to the insect's question. He had been completely buried in his mindless thoughts to actually hear anything besides this bug's voice. Why he perked up? Maybe he thought that...No, he wouldn't be here. He was dead, gone, over with...The yellow tinted butterfly sat there breathing for a minute before he started convulsing. Tears sprang from his eyes as he drew his knees in.
"I'm so sorry...I...I am much more...Personable...I..." he didn't know what he was saying! He felt stupid! The poor bug is probably just trying to help and all Heru could do is cry. The Rhoparan decendent's shaking started to slow down. Capturing a large gulp of air he glanced up languidly to eye the bug. Sniffling he held onto his legs tighter drawing in protectively. "Why...Are you here?" he asked in a hoarse whisper.

| Sparrow sighed softly, his hands waffeling faintly infront of him. "Shh, I'm sorry I didn't mean to frighten you." He offered, keeping his voice soft, calm, trying to be reasuring but it wasn't something he was really used to doing. He crouched down more, sitting back on his haunchs, watching the sobbing insect with sheilded eyes, though had then been uncovered they would have been soft. He said nothing about the other landing on his face, not wanting to embarrass him.
"I was just thinking, tell me, why are you so sad?" He hated seeing people upset, he just wasn't very good and helping that in his opinion. Reaching forward, cautiously he tried to place his fingertips on the other's knee. He couldn't fathom what the other was thinking, what could have him crying in such a manner, the only thing he could do, was listen, offer an unjudging ear.

| Trying to clear his mind of any thoughts, he wanted things to be the way they used to be. He was...So much happier then this. Full of life, nothing could bring him down exception of the rain. Heaving in several sobs, he wanted to think of the old times. However he could not grasp them. Not a single one. His mind drew back to reality when the other bug had placed a tender hand upon his knee. The touch had been welcoming, but to Heru it felt like a horrid burn upon his shell like flesh. Flinching, he stayed put only his face winceing from the comforting hand. Wiping the tears away from his eyes, he took a deep breath before re-telling the story.
"Love is a spiteful thing.." he choked out the words guiltly. "It...Urm...Hurts...Especially when that...Someone..." that is all he said, that is all he needed to say. What else more could the stranger want to know? He was so tired, he couldn't think straight. He lost someone and he just couldn't explain everything...It hurt too much.

| Sparrow's hands sort of waffled in the air a moment before he allowed them to drop onto his own bent knees. Tilting his head to the side he was unsure of how to offer comfort to someone, this sort of thing, was beyond him though he felt a pang of pain wrote by sympathy curl up in the pit of his stomach. "What can I do, how can I help?" He knew these were more then likely foolish and useless questions but it was all he could offer, and if there was something with in his power he could do to stop those tears then he would try, had to, it was just his way. "Please, tell me, there must be something, even small that I can do for you." He whispered, groping in his mind for the right words and wishing he knew more how to be helpful to people in emotional pain | |

| Rubbing a hand over his bag laden eyes. Heru glanced back up at the stranger before sighing heavily, he wanted to laugh, throw things, cry more but all of his emotions were drain. All that is left was him, in this darkness that shrouded his mind with horrid thoughts. If the stranger wasn't here...He would have, no...That seemed to drastic and he is much stronger then that.
"..There is nothing...That is needed to be done.." he finally said after heaving another sigh. "What is lost...Is lost...Revenge...I want it badly.." fisting his palm he slammed it against the sand wanting to kill the bug who did this. "That ugly creature is still around somewhere and I wish him dead..." he gritted his teeth in anger trying to figure out how he could get rid of that evil who killed his lover.

| Sparrow sighed softly tilting his head a little more as he mulled things over in his mind, revenge was a long dark path with little light along the way. " Well I cannot promise you retribution I can offer to get you back to somewhere less bleak as this." He waved his little handless arms to indicate the place they were in. "other then that, if you think of something you need, tell me and I'll try."
He kept his voice soft, cautious, since his face was hidden he could do little by way of expression so he tried to come off caring by sound alone. What more could he offer this other male really?

| Revenge did sound wonderful, harmonious to his ears if he actually got to kill that horrible demon! But he knew, that consequences lay along that road and convincing someone else to do it would be terrible. Sighing heavily he leaned against his knees trying accumulate what the other bug had just said. "Somewhere else?" he rasped out softly before glancing up from his stupor to stare at the masked man. "....I would like to go...Somewhere else...At least not here...." he gave off another choke wiping his eyes and trying not to feel so stupid for crying like a child. "I never gave you my name.." he said more softly before getting up on his feet. "Its Heru...And I am greatful for you being nice to me..." | |

| Sparrow sort of waffled his hands in front of himself, as if the idea of someone thanking him for being kind was absurd. "It's a pleasure to meet you Heru, I have been called Sparrow." He offed, in his odd way, standing, powerful legs uncoiling. He reached down then and offered the other his hand, to help him. "Well then, let us go some where else." He spoke cheerfully, as if trying to chase away the gloom that surrounded the other male. He knew pain took time to heal, and sometimes it never does heal, it only dulls, but he tried anyways. | |

| Staring at the hand as if foreign, Heru's yellow eyes were transfixed on the bandages then back at Sparrow's covered face. His mind reeled with unbridled thoughts of what Sparrow was hiding underneath that mask. Those masked eyes gleaming a slight purple only placed him in a small trance before he snapped out of his daydream. "Hurm? Oh...Thank you...And it is nice to meet you Sparrow..." he replied with a small sniff. Placing his danity hand upon Sparrow's lean one he gripped it tightly so when he pulled the strange bug would not feel a large tug. Standing up slowly he stared at the mask for a while before nodding his head. "I would like that..." he blushed slightly for staring at this nice stranger but Heru is a curious one and this fellow here is quite interesting. "May I ask...And sorry if this is personal...But why are your hands covered in bandages?" his meak voice asked while letting his small hand linger on the bandaged fingers. The rough edges mixed with the light touch of silk oozed into his sensory system. | |

| Sparrow's bandaged fingers wrapped easily around the other male's smaller hand, even without the effort on Heru's part he would have been able to support the flyer's wait with ease. Despite its strength his grip was soft, careful. Once Heru was on his feet Sparrow didn't fight the hand left on his, only turned his head this way and that, as if to get his barrings, trying to decide which way to start off. At the question his masked face came back to look the male in the eye. "Hmm? Oh, the bandages are much better on the eyes then what's underneath...I've seen a lot of battles." He offered, softly, the same softness he used in all of what he said.
He moved his thumb off of the other's knuckles, as if he was about to take his hand back. " Does it bother you?" He questioned, a little softer then needed. He didn't want to let go of the smaller male, he wanted to keep him close should he need to protect him, but if the feel of his wrappings was unpleasant he would understand. He smiled faintly but it was mostly hidden by the mask, however given the other male's height, he might have been able to see under the mask, at least enough to see Sparrow's lips.

| "No no...I..." the crimson blush crept upon his face even more noticeable then before. How can he do this? Flirt like a floozy when his mate suffered a horrid death? How dare he do such a thing! His mind collided with his emotions as his face contorted into confusion. Tightening his grip, he placed his mate in the back of his mind. Telling himself he was gone, never to be back. Yet this man may just be a friend, not some looming lover. No, Sparrow could never take that place of his last mate. "I don't...Mind them at all...I just have never seen that on another bug..." his yellow eyes flicked over the mask again. He also had an inkling to touch the mask. Instead he pulled his childish tendencies to the side while he moved closer towards Sparrow's lean body. It made him feel, safe, he knew he should not feel sorry for himself but he would just have to build on that.
Absentmindly he let his other hand roam over the bandages wanting feel...Something. It wasn't lust or love, the emotion he had in mind was grief. He knew that touching something, anything, would make him feel better. The bandages to him represented healing, and Heru liked referring things as symbols. An odd quirk of his that his former mate never quite got. He loved symbols, even the smallest one he liked to refer anything to a motif. "I could fly us there..." he glanced up again "I may not...Look strong but...I can fly us somewhere..." he smiled ruefully, honestly he had no clue where too but he would find somewhere.
