Ginseng is predominantly white in colour, with a black stripe running down between the corners of her eyes, just wide enough to cover her mouth. She has very thick white fur and hair, the latter of which is pretty haphazard, crazy, and fairly long (think 80s glam rock). Her body is red in colour with patches of white fur along her upper arms, down over her breasts, along her thighs to her knees, and to properly cover up her ladybits. Her forearms and her knees and down are covered in red fur, leaving her hands, sides, belly, back, and feet bare and a brighter red colour. Her wings are a pastel lime green with amber and brown eye spots, the secondary pair tapering off like luna moths' wings do. There is a brown bar that runs over the frontal edge of her primary wing pair. Ginseng's eyes are a brighter variant of her wing colour. Her antennae are brown and tan, the texture feathery.

Personality: "Childish" is one way to put it. Giggly, high-energy, and care-free, Ginseng is an active little thing that loves to meet new people. Very little can pull down on her outlook, but she can sober up when the situation honestly calls for it (although she doesn't always catch it at first). She's pretty ditzy at times, too, though not as naive as she acts. She's a bit demanding for attention if she thinks she's being unfairly ignored. Her curiosity can get her into trouble, but she values it above actually getting answers. She's a tiny bit of an amateur philosopher, though she prefers being outdoors and active to being stuck in a stuffy room full of old books. She's also rather open minded.
Likes: Meeting new people, sweet things, sour things, keeping her wings in good condition, being active, heights, full moons/sunny days/starry nights (lights!), slow and graceful-sounding music, high-BPM and perky music, dancing (with people or alone), and wandering around the higher branches of the Mother Tree.
Dislikes: Anything sticky enough to ground her, bitter or tasteless things, nasty people, dreary days with too much rain, sticks in the mud, aloof people, being ignored, bad music, lack of light, being crammed in an old stuffy room.

Appearance: Rather on the short side; very dark brown/near-black coloured torso and face with yellow appendages, red bands edged in black on the "inside" joint of the legs, with sensitive tufts connected to those bands. He wears various yellow silks, sometimes a solid one around his hips to conceal himself and sheers over it and beading. There's some beadingin his hair, which is an ambery yellow-orange shade. His body shape is a bit effeminate, so it helps with the whole "shh, I'm a girl~".
Personality: He's pleasant and generally quite easy-going, though he mooches off his sister's webbing (and fixes it!) instead of finding a mate. He's not... sure he wants to find a mate, either. He crossdresses and plays himself off as female, despite his voice just being a soft, high male tone. He can make it sound a little girlier, but... And because he likes to talk and gossip a bit, it sometimes spoils the image. He doesn't necessarily prefer being addressed by the feminine pronoun, but it's nice to hear. He just likes looking like a girl, really. XD ...He also fawns over cute things like dear god save him if he ever meets Sol, lawl.
Likes: His sister, pretty things, people mistaking him for a female, pleasant company, comfortable chatter, gossip, when people approve of the silk work he and his sister do.
Dislikes: Being told to stop being girly, people vandalizing his sister's web, poor response to gold-yellow silk, people picking on his sister (she's taller, but he's still protective), travel problems.

Extra!: He's at least a little on the masochistic side. Not sure how he found that out, though. He travels a bit since they do make deliveries of silk for those who might want their silk as a raw material rather than finished.

She's very slim and a pale pink colour with deep violet eyes. She wears a semi-sheer sash-like dress and keeps a sash over her arms.
Personality: She carries herself with elegance and serenity, but her monetary and living affairs are treated with severity. If something's out of line, she will spot and and go after it with all the tenacity she can muster. However, in personal affairs are much smoother and more comfortable, being treated kindly and not without a bit of flirtation on her part. She's also a bit of a lush. She also has higher-class tastes than she can really afford, although she's so far managed to avoid getting in debt to anyone. She's just broke now and again. She's not much bothered by violence and can still dish out a fair bit on her own--she just prefers to be so verbally rather than physically.
Likes: Money, drink, good company and friends, the finer things in life, reading/telling fortunes, getting people to believe her, traveling, exotic flora, incense, good "mysterious" atmospheres.
Dislikes: Being broke, ratty silk and other such garments, messes, being caught for lying on fortunes, rude people.

Extra!: She's a fortune teller, of sorts--cards and all. And yes, she cheats sometimes and pulls everything out of who knows where. Otherwise, it's just due to reading people and being able to manipulate their thoughts.

Appearance: She (as this appears to be the most immediately recognized feature) is solid white, though the tips of her fingers, stalks, and the edges of her body seem a bit bluish; there are also sections that seem translucent. She has very sharp teeth as she's carnivorous, and she's a tiny bit aggressive, too, so she uses them elsewhere. She's completely blind, so her eyes are always closed and you'll usually see her with her hands slightly ahead of her to see just where she's going. She has what appears to be a frill running along from just under her breasts and on downward, and wears a sash around her hips and chest in public. Because she's blind and her eye stalks lack eyes, they've developed more like extra appendages and gauge where things are in relation to her head; they stretch and contract like the rest of her can, and can move around.
Personality: She's usually very laid back, but if you push the wrong button, running would be a good idea. She's slower moving, but she'll lash out at you viciously. Fortunately, she has enough patience that this isn't as common as it could be. When people stumble for an appropriate pronoun for her when they discover her possession of both traits, she'll just lean back and smirk a bit; the whole thing amuses her, if only because it's a pointless endeavor. She tends to use names over sex-specific pronouns or just leaves such pronouns out when she speaks. She speaks a bit lazily and a bit slower than most. She's also very stubborn. There is a chance that if you're in the wrong place at the wrong time with Ysbryd, or you just rub her the wrong way, you're named next meal. And sometimes she does this without realizing her prey isn't supposed to be prey.
Likes: Dark and moist places, lazy atmospheres, people not assuming she's completely inept, listening to people blunder over how to address her, good food, snug spaces, humid regions, prevailing where others would think she wouldn't. She likes to come out on top.
Dislikes: People making a big deal out of what she is, assuming she's unable to do anything herself, being antagonized, being thought of as a harmless thing that eats leaves and fruit (she shows her teeth around then), getting frustrated in an unfamiliar place, asking for directions, being told she's "handicapped" due to her blindness.

Extra!: She'll nom on you if you're not smart enough to flee when she lashes out. Also, I don't care what pronoun you decide to use for Ysbryd. XD Use whatever you want. I just use "she" because that's the dominant trait, and slugs default to female if something happens during copulation. Manbits get gnawed off. XD ...which hopefully won't happen with Ys... She also sells little ointments that have slug "slime" as an ingredient.

Appearance: Much like her brother, Jonquil, but her colours are a bit clearer and vibrant. She's also much taller and has short cropped strawberry blonde hair.
Personality: She's pleasant enough, but a bit gruff around the edges. She's polite with customers, but if one just rubs her wrong, she'll tell Jonquil all about it. She doesn't depend on him like he does her, but she values his help and his willingness to help out. She's a big softie, deep down, and will actively threaten people who hurt her brother.
Likes: Jonquil, when business is good, clear days, relaxing, weaving, working together with Jonquil on finished silk products, income.
Dislikes: People who pick on Jonquil, unpleasant customers, lack of income, things getting in her web, Geran eating things he's not supposed to, vandals.

Extra!: She's the one who brought Geran, a giraffe weevil, into the "family". She has a huge soft spot for both he and her brother. She worries about Jonquil a lot, too, but figures he's old enough to take care of himself and dust himself off when things happen. Unless someone actively goes after him, anyhow.

Appearance: Average height for his age and build category (long, thin), most of his height is in his legs. His antennae run almost the length of his body when standing straight up.
Personality: He's a pretty good-natured guy, but he's mischievous and a bit of a prankster. He's a leader-type, meaning he's doesn't depend on people and tends to be able to either attract or annoy others with how he behaves. The problem is, between that and his love of practical jokes, he ends up in trouble with people fairly often. He flirts without meaning and without regard to the people around him--he also doesn't seem to heed age. He'll just up and start chatting someone up for the fun of it. He gets a little nervous when he's seriously trying, though. His default mode, however, is that of the trickster.
Likes: A good joke, pranks, having fun, warm spots, good clear weather, a bit of conflict here and there,
Dislikes: Getting caught, being forced to stay still, drizzly or dreary days (they make him sleepy), dull people, people without humour,

Personality: Childish/carefree, but mature and wise. He has a high metabolism, so he's always hungry. He'll love you forevars if you give him nomnoms. He's a bit scholarly in nature, which is in part because of Ginseng. She used to give him books and read with him. He's very careful about his appearance, having as much fluff as he does, so much so that he sometimes comes across as vain; he's not, but he does want to avoid getting too dirty.[incompleeeeeete]
Likes: Leafy foods, fruits, booookszomgbooks, naps, high places, pretty scenery, enjoying the simple things in life
Dislikes: Mean people >:, the cold, people who just can't stop for a moment and consider what they have, arguments (though he loves debates)

Extra!: He's connected to Ginseng; he calls her "cousin", but that's not entirely accurate. It's not a blood relation, but a very tight friendship. They don't live near each other anymore, but they visit each other on occasion. Which is fine, because they both take it to mean that life is swelling with new things. They do write letters, though.

Appearance: While most might have lesser secondary arms, her second pair are vital to her aquatic movement; the fluff that grows from each segment of her secondary legs acts like a giant paddle that propels her underwater. Her forearms and her legs have smaller paddle-like clusters, but it is mainly this secondary pair that propels her. She tucks her legs and arms in to swim faster. Her antennae are a deal longer than most of the aquatic variety, and have similar tufts; these are almost Lepidoran-like. She has little armour over her underside--primarily just her carapace and the armour over her legs and arms. This is more for streamline-purposes and to lessen her total weight. What armour she does have otherwise looks like a scant swimsuit, to put it one way. Her armour is an icy blue colour with darker marks along the edges of her carapace and "mantle"; the rest of her is a near-white shade of blue, with deep, dark blue eyes.
Personality: Just a tiny bit on the lunatic side, largely on the sadistic side, but other than that, she's a fairly pleasant person. Excitable, a good conversationalist (makes up for Caliban's fail in that department), and generally quite friendly. Un...til you do something to piss her off or set off her less-than-tea-and-cakes side. She's very attached to Caliban and as she's not as strong (she's more nimble than strong), will often turn to him for protection. Which she rather trusts he can do very well. Her fondness isn't limited to him being a hulking giant and partner of sorts, either. She's genuinely attached and wouldn't leave him if you paid her or provided her with all the comforts of the world. Even though she is a bit materialistic. She's also possessive to a degree, primarily when, of course, involving Caliban. Not that she sees it that way.
Likes: Caliban!, swimming, clear and clean waters, Caliban again, shinies, making stupid people hurt very very badly, checking the density and--we'll just say sadism in general to avoid squicking people, fresh food, scaring the crap out of people.
Dislikes: Idiocy, being forced to be away from Caliban, restraining herself, Zetula (kind of; on principle that she takes Caliban's attention away), too much dry land, people who shun Old Bloods for the sake of their differences.

Extra!: She isn't an Old Blood and doesn't care much for Zetula, but she finds people who shun or mock the Old Bloods instantly worthy of "playing" with. And she isn't in the least bit kind or quick about it. She does have cannibalistic tendencies.

Appearance: Unlike most who look similar to her, she's white and black. The skull marking on her back is decidedly insidious-looking, and her typical carriage reflects the possible reasoning--tall, proud, but grim. Her expression is commonly set in a firm line, and the rare times she smiles are those times to fear. She's well-built for being an infertile female, and she is toned from all her work and carries herself with pride, but it's an eerie sort of pride, too.
Personality: She's as vicious as can be and likes to play with drones and workers alike, inflicting spots of pain here and there until deciding that it's not enough. She tries to keep them alive, at least... And gives them a good time, in the end (well...). She refuses to work with larvae directly and is thus branded something of an oddity (if not outright bizarre by some). She will, however, support them and feed them as she is required. She just won't touch them. It isn't that she doesn't like children, but rather that she has a fairly impulsive mean-streak and knows how to gauge herself. She wasn't quite as bad until Thorn's little episode, and has since gotten sharper and more easily agitated.
Likes: Discipline, wearing down other workers and drones, control, tiiiish bit of a nympho but not really, her hive
Dislikes: Thorn, undisciplined individuals, having her pride catered to (it feels like an insult), being forced to be around smaller, younger hymes, her impulsiveness, those not from her hive and she don't tend to get along
