hmm i'm having trouble deciding on how to draw her, should i go completely anthro, like with the Hoppers and spiders, or should i do her more like the Pillars?

Hmm.... Both would look good. She could still have her tail in anthro like some of the dragonflies and mantids do. It would make a kick ass lookin Can-can girl skirt type thing in the back. XD
However, if you go Taur like. That could lead to some interesting plot. Since I was thinking that except for pillars and Old Blood queens. Most less humanoid looking ones are called Feral and there is some bias against them as inferior and less evolved since they are "old blood". just a thought.

I agree with both, like the dragonfly back thing, and then long secondary arms like the spiders since shrimps have those long funny-lookin legs of theirs.

Big curly antennae would also be cute >u> Just puttin' that out there.

that would deffently make an interesting plot, especially since their water dwellers, i imagine most would consider them less evolved anyway.(that whole we elvolved to leave the primodial pool you didn't thing)

Perhaps there could be both types? For instance the Tuar like ones living closer, or more or less in water, whilst their more evolved cousins able to live further inland on the islands?

It could also play one an intresting culture difference, the two different versions of the same creature both believing the other is inferior?

Its all genetics really. Same race just a different blood line. but its actually split into three. The "anthro" mostly humanoid shaped ones. The "old blood" ones being the taurs. And then the third are the actual "ferals" Actually simple insect like minds to go with the more animal like bodies. So the Old bloods sometimes get grouped in with the ferals so there ish some definite bias and what not goin on there. XD

I can imagine Ferals being used much like cattle and horses, using them for tasks that don't require much though, digging, carrying heavy objects ect.

LOL...This'll make an intresting thing(can't think of the world right now) for my Hopper girl Venus, i wanted her to be something of an animal trader/tamer.

I can just picture her breaking a Feral scorpion or spider now...XD

Oh i had an idea for another type of cattle like creature, Aphids! I remembered that Ants actually milk them as they produce a sweet clear liquid. Ants are amazing....

Edit: Ugh it's a crummy sketch, but just gives a sort of idea for something like the 'old blood' Shrimp.

Indeed. Some insects are animals rather than people.
Giraffe weevil = Horse
Bull Weevil = Ox
so an Aphid = Cows would fit in.
And fleas are like pets. XD

omg fleas as pets. I should give one to Merlo oAo She'd be so big and grumpy but then go back to her cart at night and have an adorable flea waiting like a puppy. AND SHE WOULD TOTALLY BABY TALK IT.

...well, she'd at least have a flea. I don't know how cute a flea can actually be given that it's a tiny insect >__>
