Holidays celebrated on Meddus?

Meddus shall have the same calandar as Earth... we shall just change what the days and months are called.
Also Holidays... we should come up with some so peeps can sometimes draw pics of upcoming Meddus holidays that co-inside with Earth ones.
Aka Christmas will have a Meddus version that is called something else and may have some slightly different traditions and origins. The whole planet doesn't have to celebrate the day either. One continent can celebrate on holiday while another continent may have no holiday or even a completely different holiday on the same day. Or even holidays that only Dromos celebrate and none of the other races do.
So... the discussion for today is... what sorts of holidays should we have, on what day, who celebrates it, where is it celebrated, and why?

Christmas ( meddus version there of) would be fantastic, and I think a Halloween sort of idea would also be a lot of fun. ( I would love to see more royal ball pictures and roleplays)
Thanksgiving makes sense as well , very basic day of feasting and thanking the gods and such.
Valentines day could be modified also :3

An Easter (or spring) holiday would be nice, along with all the others mentioned >xD

Some summer holiday, though the only one I've seen is the one from WoW >xD what was it... the fire festival? Oh I don't know. I haven't played in years :/ miss RPing with my druid though... sad day. oh well <3 I has mah buggies!

I could come up with a few race-specific holidays, if peoples wish it so :3

Should definitely have corresponding Meddus Holidays with the big usual ones ya hear about. Christmas, Halloween, Valentines Day, Easter, etc...

The Christmas seems like a Mother Tree type of Holiday.. but then would really only apply to Pentra... so mayhaps a "Creation" day? Day in which Meddus is thought to have been created?

For those that don't celebrate Xmas there should be Meddus Kwanzaa and Hanukkah alternatives.

Halloween... need to think on that.

Valentines day... Meh... same everything for that one I think... XD We could think of a different name iffin we ant to.

Easter... could also be a Mother Tree or some other story behind it day.

The corresponding holidays on Meddus don't necessarily have to be different versions of the ones we already know - for instance, instead of taking Easter as a celebration of Jesus, I was intending for it to be taken as a celebration of spring and new life.

Likewise, Christmas can be translated to a celebration of family and bringing together to stay warm through winter.

Halloween can be translated to a hallow's eve, or respect of the Underground and the dark, where Abovegrounders could dress in costume or stay in their houses as most, if not all, undergrounders come aboveground at night in pure celebration.

Valentines day can simply be renamed, for the idea of it can't really be changed, perhaps create a love bug and name it after them.. hah.

Thanksgiving, same issue as Valentines, except that one doesn't necessarily need to be renamed, unless we want it to.


Of course, each holiday will be specialized to each continent, for Pentra a celebration of the Mother tree on most occasions, perhaps on Fellgrad it's for Crops, for Darpan spiritual beliefs, etc..

I'd love to have a Midsummer holiday in Meddus~
Or some holidays for Meddus' gods. (Those could be celebrated in certain areas only)
