Cool beens! Go for it when you get the all green LOL XD

Since the Mother Tree could (most-likely) will become some type of important landmark in the upcoming story line I wanted to see a couple of different interpretations of it. XD I also wanted to have a crack at drawing it.

*noms* I might do some sketches for the Jumping Isles too when i get my wacom...I like the whole idea of totally laid back fisherman/tribal bugs. Lol with a reggie accents....Jeez...i'm not going to be able to sleep tonight, it's 4:10am and i'm totally hyper cos my brain is going to explode from inspiration.

I might have to sit in bed with my sketch pad until i fall asleep.(not the first time)

Yeah The Yggdrasil tree from norse mythology is what comes to mind, a tree thats the centre of life, the world tree where life began and life will end. Teehee....*twitches from sugar high*

As for Jumping Isle that be where Melon was born so keep that in mind. The Grasshopper and other more Green colored races would be good majority races there.

Also Suggestions on changing names of races and things are also allowed.

yeah thats what i thought...gosh i love green....green and purple are my fave colours and you know what i've been so trying to keep with the colourings of the different spieces of my characters that i don't have a purple and green character :O

I think all the names are pretty good....But then i have trouble naming my own races(one is basicly just an anagram of human....yeah really original, the other is an anagram of elf XD)

I have an idea for a Graveyard Grasshopper if that helps diversities things. XD They're a southern species so that would be funny to pit against Melon.

lol Hymenopterax is just Hymenoptera with an x. XD Which is the scientific name for the Wasp, Bee, Ant family. X3
But then I've decided to shorten it to Hyme cuz that is just a long as word... X3
but I do want to change the Hopper races name... can never remember that one off the top of my head. D:

Lol not me, i has a Roach, a Moth Catapillar(i don't intend on ever changing her) and two Goliath Beetles, and i was thinking of making a Mock Widow Spider, cos i saw one today and they are far prettier than black widows. I might make a hopper, i like locusts and i use dto catch grass hoppers as a kid.

my brain does that too....Most of my characters are actually inspired by dreams i've had....Like my short story about the post apocolyptic future in which the human race has dwindled to nothing due to and alien virus taht mutates them.....yeah i know i should see a therapist....my dreams are always really gory and graphic too...but i've never had a night mare....Speaking of dreams i think i should go have one...time to hit the sack i have a meeting about my training course later...today XD

well, you've probably got yourself a load of people to help you with this already, but I've been roleplaying (in secret, *gasp*) with taintedtamer, and we've had quite the fun time trying to fill in gaps for a lot of things - if you need help with ideas I'd love to offer what we've come up with. Credit goes to Taintedtamer too, of course <3

Anthropology mention. Nrrr... If you don't mind, and if there's a general agreement on what kinds of races live where, I might be able to help define cultural reasons for it, along with a few ideas for cultural norms? I can't name things for beans, but I can offer my help fleshing out racial interaction and regional culture. Things like belief systems (mostly ethical social norms, really, unless there's the thought of something along the lines of deities involved?), cultural events (festivals, "holidays", etc.), what could be viewed as taboo or negative... Stuff like that. This would, of course, all be things bounced off people and I'm sure there would be this lovely meshing of ideas which is delightful and yes and...

Hey I have a lot of experience coming up with cultures and animals. If I could offer any help I'd be more than happy. I don't really want to be a mod but anything creative and I'd love to help. I can offer suggestions if it's allowed.

Here is a sketchy for the Mother Tree (at least the bottom part where the roots are) that I was working on today during class.



Still working on adding more stuff to it, but the tube-like things are Organ-Pipe Mud Dauber nests (and interior staircases, lol), and the round igloo-like things are Potter Wasp nests...oh and that's a mushroom on the trunk there...

I see you have a lot of applications so far from people wanting to be mods and I thought I might as go so far as to poke at your attention myself. I do admit I'm not really a talented artist, note the crappy avi made by me, but one of the very few things that I excel at is making plots, as I have made quite a few in my past 4 years of RPing, maybe more I'm too brain damaged to remember the exact years. Anyways, I offer my help as a gear in this big machine you have made and await your decision to either accept me into your team or just keep me as some random shmuck who's become a big fan of your artwork.

And OMG i just thought up an amazing idea while doing a pixel.

I could wip up some doll like bases for each spieces, male and female, which users can edit to look like their characters, they can use these on profiles of their characters, especially if they can't draw themselves?

I'm gonna finish this one of my character to show an example.
