Oh yes. Shooing and shooing. Slapping the water. Taking a few swipes at it to make it go away... no use. XD
Either that or a Tailless scorpion.

Sounds hazardous. o-0 A water bug would make a great leviathan-like OldBlood right there. XD Prime example of why Meddians are a tad bit "shy" of OldBloods.... maybe it attacks the Blue Islands every once in a while?
Ach... new ideas come at the most random time! >_<
I would have to go with Tailless because that's the most distinct feature on the little dude. XD He's such a tiny little thing. ///>w<///

He reminds me of those Amazon birds that have colorful tail-feathers that fan out when they dance for a mate. XD

Aww, that reminds me of a little spider I saw on a car window on the way back to Atlanta! It was so cute!! It had a big head, and tiny little body! I couldn't tell what type of spider it was though, since it was so small!

Those are Trilobite Beetles. They're actually a type of Net-Wing Bettle Larva, females are stuck in that state, males turn into This.

The spider has it fangs in the damsel fly and is either injecting poison into it or sucking out it's organs and leaving it a hollow shell. But yeah, I can see it's fangs going in.

Glaucus atlanticus or the Blue Glaucus Glaucilla marginata
And their cousins. They just stole my heart, last night. <3 Sea slugs~
As for more buglike bugs (gastropods don't much count, really, but we do have Gastrons!)...
Giant assassin bug!
T-shaped bug?
The Assassin Bug isn't too weird to me, but they do look funny... But wts, T-bug.

Glaucus atlanticus - I know a person on FA that has characters based off of that little guy! Her name is Thumbclaw. She's does a good job turning them Anthro. XD
