I remember this guy is called solifugae or a camel spider. They are more freaky then the ordinary spiders, like really - look at its mandibles D8 Wouldn't like to see such fella crawling on my wall at the middle of the night.

Zaiats- Yay! XD I fell in love with G. atlanticus last night while perusing Google for sea slugs. I'll have to peek around and see if I can't find her on FA, then. :3 ...ohgodthey'resotiny. <3
Zarashi: ...does it have scorpion-esque claws there? What. Osheet. Please tell me they're not native to the East coast of the US. XD

It's called Sphodros Rufipes, aka Red legged Purseweb Spider actually, but you were close. Except for the camel spider, they don't have black colors on them. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sphodros_rufipes I think I might actually make a char out of this guy, another addition to my Arachnid army! x3

Zarashi: Yeah it is close to solifugae, but is different - if I remember, camel spiders don't make webs. This one would make a one vicious chara. And I planned to create a spider chara too - not very important, just a dimwitted cannibal who is scary enough to be afraid of but not that prominient to be a proper villian chara. Tha camel spider has just won 0_0
Zaiats: Man I wouldn't want to be on this guy's place. Would have had to break my policy of no-killing-insects-no-matter-how-damn-creepy-they-are. 8C

Zarashi- It's a purseweb? Huh... Didn't think their faces looked like that. XD I was trying to find information on a spider I found both in my house and my neighbors' and I kept running into those guys in my searches... Different shape, but the colouring was almost identical otherwise--black body and bright red legs.
Zaiats- AAAAAAAAUGH THOSE THINGS FFFFFFFFFFF...

I knew I'd regret watching that vid! My friend had told me about camel spiders, but she exaggerated their size apparently. I expected to see a bigger spider X3

Yeah, I've seen the picture that was the source of their legendary size. It was really two camel spiders biting each other. And I also expected the purseweb to be bigger when I saw the pic, I was kinda dissapointed. :C

Ah, I see. That's so cool that you can tell what's going on when there are multiple bugs in the picture :3

Sorry about the quality (camera phone), but I figured I'd put this guy up since I was talking about him earlier. This is the little spider that has been baffling me as of late. It looks very similar to a purseweb, but the manipulators/mandibles/whathaveyou are thin and that same reddish-orange that its legs are. This is also the third one I've spotted, and they've all been indoors.
Lawl, I pissed it off trying to get it to go in the cup so I could take it outside. Front pair of legs held up and abdomen raised and everything. D'awh, it was cute.

This moth is sooo cuddly! *flail* Yay, fluff!
And this Grasshopper reminds me of Masai somehow. With all those red, white beads and yellow necklaces. Dunno why. This spider's butt makes me snigger like mad. ))))

On the right. It blends in with the shield pretty well. Doesn't appear to have antennae, either. Hm. o3o
